Brexit Party MEP denies climate change primarily caused Australia's bush fires, Greek MEP intervenes

Australia’s bush fires have decimated an area twice the size of Belgium and killed millions of animals, putting the country in the European Parliament firing line.

The European Parliament held a debate on the devastating bushfires in Australia and other extreme weather events driven by climate change.

Although not everyone in the plenary session agreed. Brexit Party MEP Rupert Lowe denied climate change being the primarily cause of Austalia’s bush fires.

He told MEPs:

“The cult of climate change marches on with no definitive evidence to support or deny the factual accuracy of their assertions.

Before giving any lectures, the EU needs to look closer to home. This place stinks of do-gooding hypocrisy.”
