The combined-heat-and-power system in ESF’s Gateway Center powers 60% of the campus‘s heat needs and 20% of its energy using sustainable biofuels. It also provides a ‘living laboratory’ for our Sustainable Energy Management students, who can observe and work on a sustainable energy system as part of their classroom experience.

It also saves ESF about $520,000 a year!
